Our Boldest Eyeshadow Colors

Our Boldest Eyeshadow Colors

Eyeshadow is such a fun and flattering beauty product. Not only can it completely emphasize and/or transform your eyes, but the bold, beautiful hues add that wanted pop to so many of your makeup looks. When you want the focus to be on your eyes, nothing plays them up like eyeshadow in a look-at-me hue.

Luckily, Juvia’s Place eyeshadows are so pigmented, and come in so many vibrant colors that you may not even know which one to choose from (and you don’t have to!) In fact, we love our eyeshadows so much that we wanted to shout out five of our most gorgeous hues in this post.

Sokoto, from our The Saharan Eyeshadow Palette

Orange eyeshadow is a major trend for 2021, and Sokoto, which appears in our The Saharan Eyeshadow Palette, is one orange shadow you’ll want to reach for throughout the year (and beyond). Temptalia describes the hue, “inspired by the vibrancy and vivaciousness of the Fulani culture,” as “a moderately warm-toned, dark coral with a matte finish. The effect is both warm and vibrant; you can let the fabulous color shine alone on the eye, or add some contrast, and an anchor, with a sweep of black liquid eyeliner.

Busy Body, from our The Wahala Eyeshadow Palette:

When you want to wear an intense pink eyeshadow, you want the color to be bright, and bold. Busy Body, a matte magenta pink hue from our The Wahala Palette, delivers that electric punch that you expect from the bold color. It is no coincidence that the it as well as other colors in the 20-shadow palette (including Fire, Yanga, and Love) is so intense--“Wa-ha-la is a Nigerian Pidgin word meaning drama, trouble, and intensity.”

Masaai, from our The Warrior 3 Eyeshadow Palette:

When you purchase an eyeshadow, you want the color in the pan to look exactly the same on your eyes. You want that same intensity, and that same richness of color. And that’s exactly what you get in The Warrior 3 Palette. One color we love is Masaai, a “deep emerald green” that brings to mind the beauty of nature and fiery verdant gemstones. It’s sophisticated, gorgeous, and saturated with color. Other noteworthy colors in the palette are Jarawa (“a fire engine red”), Gola (“a cerulean blue”), and Nzinga (a sunshiny yellow).

Shawata, from our The Warrior II Eyeshadow Palette:

An eyeshadow doesn’t have to be bright to be bold. Some of the most beautiful eyeshadow hues are dark, inky, and moody. Like Shawata, which appears in our The Warrior II Palette. It’s a rich black that is perfect for creating dramatic smokey eyes, and enhancing eyeliner looks. This perfect hue is paired with the equally rich dark browns Kafuru, Jamata, and Walzana (which also make for a fab smokey eye); the warm middle shades Yodit and Daura; and the light Kana, and Zaz (both are great for highlighting the eye). With these gorgeous colors, your neutral eyeshadow looks will definitely go up a notch, in both richness and drama.
